FREE SAIL EXERCISE CLASS
The SAIL program will be holding classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Senior Citizen Center. The Stay Active and Independent for Life program is a 12-week falls prevention fitness program designed for older adults age 65 and up in Montana that focuses on strength, balance, and mobility, which reduces the risk of falls and improves overall quality of life. Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 AM at the Senior Citizen Center on Main Street in Scobey. Call 487-5560 with questions. The classes are free for those who participate
DANIELS COUNTY EXT. OFFICE HOSTS WINTER SERIES – JAN 27TH
The Daniels County Extension Office will host their January winter series program on Tuesday, January 27th, on the following topics: Managing Weeds During Drought and New World Screwworm: What You Need to Know.
Program speakers will include MSU Extension Invasive Plant Specialist Jane Mangold and New Mexico State University Extension Livestock Specialist Dr. Marcy Ward.
The program is scheduled from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and will take place at the ambulance meeting room at 106 Railroad Avenue East in Scobey. Pesticide credits will be available. For more information, please contact the Daniels County Extension Office at 487-2861
VALENTINE’S DAY KIDS FUN DAY – FEB 14TH
The Gary B. Holley Foundation is putting on a Valentine’s Kids Fun Day at the Scobey Saddle Club, Saturday, February 14th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There will be a spaghetti lunch with a free-will donation, as well as bingo, door prizes, and kids’ activities. Raffle drawing for a new Yamaha Kodiak 450 4×4 ATV; only 800 tickets will be sold. Tickets can be purchased at local businesses, including here at KCGM. The foundation aims to raise funds for educational scholarships, supporting youth and their grandparents to go on camping trips through Yellowstone Park, and to promote community activities for children of all ages.
BLOOD DRIVE – JAN 22ND
The blood drive is back in Scobey at the Catholic Center. It will be on Thursday, January 22nd, from 11:30 AM to 4:45 PM.
DEATH NOTICES
The memorial service for Gary Leibrand is planned for 11:00 AM on July 18th, 2026, with a reception to follow at the Saddle Club in Scobey.
Willa Mae Hendrickson, 62 of Plentywood passed away on January 18th at Billings Clinic. Arrangements are pending and will be announced when completed by the family.
Shirley Anne Edwards, 86 of Whitetail passed away at Billings Clinic on January 13th. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00am on Saturday, January 24th at the Catholic Church in Scobey. Interment will take place in spring of 2026.
Jeanette Delores Smith, 90 of Plentywood passed away December 28th at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Plentywood. Arrangements are pending and will be announced when completed by family.
Mary Natalie Hoff, 92 of Dagmar passed away at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Plentywood on January 13th. Private family services will be conducted at a later date.
