NEMLMOA Regular Meeting
The Northeast Montana Land and Mineral Owners Association will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 5th @ 7:00pm in Culbertson, MT at the Roosevelt County Complex. Anyone will oil and gas related questions are welcome to attend. Dessert and refreshments will be provided. The meeting is open to the public.
Acreage Reporting Maps Available
2026 acerage reporting maps are now available at the Daniels County FSA office. This is a reminder that the acreage reporting deadline is July 15th.
National Day of Prayer
The national day of prayer is Thursday, May 7th.
This year’s theme is 1 Chronicles 16:24 NASB: “Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all peoples.”
Church bells will ring at noon as a call to take a moment to pray for our community, our country, and our world.
May City Council Meetings
The Scobey City Council meetings scheduled for May will be Tuesday, May 12th and Tuesday, May 26th @ 8:30am at City Hall, 708 1st Ave W.
Death Announcements
Joan Carolyn Killens, 93 of Plentywood, passed away at Sheridan Memorial Nursing Home on April 28th, 2026. Arrangements are pending and will be announced when completed by the family.
Matilda “Tillie” Drawbond, 103 of Fortuna, ND passed away April 27th, 2026 at Sheridan Memorial Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 at the Coalridge Mennonite Church with interment to follow at the Coalridge Mennonite Cemetary with a luncheon then served back at the church.
Memorial services for Guy Smith and Jeanette Smith will be 2:00pm Saturday, May 9th, 2026 at the Fulkerson Funeral Home in Plentywood. Interment will then follow at the Medicine Lake Cemetery with a reception to follow at Angel Light Catering.
