Blood Drive, Hoopfest, Richland Centennial, Montana Farmers Union Kids Camp

Outdoor community summer camp event with families, picnic tables, live music stage, and a blood drive van

Blood Drive – 6/11/26

The Red Cross is back at the Catholic Center on Thursday, June 11th from 11:30am to 4:45pm. To make an appointment, call 1-800-redcross or sign up at http://www.redcrossblood.org and use the sponsor code: scobey.


Montana Farmers Union Kids’ Day Camp – 6/18/26

There will be a day camp for kids at the Scobey School on Thursday, June 18th from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Camp is free and all kids between 5 and 12 are welcome! Lunch and snacks will be included.
Topics that will be covered include:
1. Montana Ag Geography
2. Fruits from Flathead and Beyond
3. Beef Basics
4. Plants for Food
5. Enjoy the Harvest of Grain
6. Butter Making
7. Cooperative in Our Community

Next City Council Meeting – 6/23/26

The next city council meeting for June will be on June 23rd at 8:30am at City Hall.


Border Town Hoopfest – 6/20/26

There will be an outdoor 3 on 3 basketball tournament for grades 3 thru 8 on June 20th.

Richland Centennial – 6/20/26

Richland will be celebrating their centennial on June 20th, starting at 12:30pm with a parade, followed by a free BBQ at the fire hall until 3:00pm. Kids games will begin at 2:00pm. There will be a jam session at 3:00pm, all musicians are welcome. There will be a pie and ice cream social fund raiser at 4:00pm at the Silver Dollar: all proceeds will go to the Richland volunteer fire department. There will be a gun raffle drawing at 5:00pm at the Fire Hall. Evening food will be available for purchase from the DC Lanes food truck as well as pizza from the Silver Dollar. Corn hole tournament starts at 6:00pm.


Deaths and Services

Buster Stuber, 67 of Opheim passed away on May 29th, 2026. A burial will be held at Hillcrest Cemetary in Thoeny on Friday, June 26th at 1:00pm followed by a celebration of life at 4:00pm at the Opheim High School followed by a supper.

Services for Bob Brekke will be held August 7th at 1:30pm at the Scobey Lutheran Church with a reception to follow immediately after in the Ed building.
